oct 31st. Halloween!

Halloween has always been my favorite Holiday. It holds a special meaning to me and certain expectations. This year was a really memorable one that I'll treasure~

Got up and into my Red Panda Kigurumi! For those of you who don't know me well, I LOVE red pandas. I joke how I want them to adopt me into their tribe.

LOVE them. So this year for Halloween I decided to be one. Yepp

Me, Scout, Kate, and Sandra all went to the Zoo. Got to ride the monorail and see lots of cute animals!

Also got a new Red panda plushie to add to my collection~ I'm building an army!! >D

After the Zoo we went back to Scout's apartment where we did some quick Trick or Treating (Totally a little kid...)

Then I tried watching some of the parade with Laura and Justin but it failed..too crowded!

To end the night we went to a Rocky Horror showing!

Such a fun time and such a great Halloween. It's totally what I needed right now.

Oct 30 Manganext

Went to Manganext for the day! Traveled on a bus to Rutgers with my roommate Scout in costume. I went as Agito from Air gear and she was dressed as Columbia from Rocky Horror Picture show. It was just an excuse to chill with our friend Nicole really. Not a really exciting con but I had fun none the less. For some reason I have like no pictures...hmmm....

Got bubble tea and headed back home to get ready for Halloween!

Threw a real party for Laura's birthday! went to Oh Taisho with friends which was great. Had two cakes for Laura and it got messy...love my friends

Picked this piggy bank up at Target over the weekend. It's a Frankenstein/zombie piggy bank. I've named him Fredrick. I love him so much. And will use him all year long.

NYAF/NYCC!

The combination of NYAF and NYCC this year was crazy!!! It was super crowded and unorganized but overall I still had a blast due to friends and work.

I was Kida for Aniplex/ACP so promoted DRRR! helped with signings and autograph stuff and basically just had a blast being Kida. Dance to the Michael Jackson game and just had lolzy times with everyone.

Besides that I got to see Kanon again and get his autograph! Also the premier PV project at his panel!

On Sunday I wore the Lolita ensemble above! Pony in Sweet Dream JSK from BTSSB with Usakuma bag and Angelic Pretty socks! I checked out the fashion show in the morning, then demoed Sengoku Basara! Then got to sit front row at the Gundam 00 movie premier cause of sweet Bandai badges with Justin, Laura, and Davey! The movie was so good but really wtf silly at times. Also got to demo FF14 before the con closed!

Golden Bomber

So I was sent a video back in August while I was away on vacation from a friend. It was a PV shown to her by our friend from Japan who was visiting. She exclaimed "VISUAL KEI" as she showed it, knowing we liked the genre. It was "Memeshikute" by the band Golden Bomber and it brightened my day in an instance. This band while being 'visual kei' has some humor to them, they can doll themselves up, sing about being unmanly, and dance around with pompoms with over the top expressions. I looked into the band a bit more and found I really liked their sound! If you're in need of something new to listen to, or watch for a laugh I highly recommend this band! They're full of energy and fun! I'm still pretty new to them myself but I can say they're highly amusing videos and fun sound is worth checking out!

Got out early from class yesterday so I met up with Laura at St. Marks! Got yummy lunch at Zaiya and then walked to Union Square. Shopped in the Forever 21 there mainly for new jeans and ended up getting some cute stuff.

FIT Lolita Tea Party

Tonight was the Lolita Tea Party event hosted by my school to celebrate the Japanese Now museum exhibit. I was asked to model Hangry and Angry clothes for Gashicon at the event. So at 3 I met up with Youko(a model I've worked with before) at the lobby of the hotel. Gashicon, Masa, and Yaz met up with us there to get ready and such. We headed to the event a bit later and got into our outfits. It was nice just hanging with everyone, though I wish my Japanese was better. Need to learn more fast!

For the event it was a simple walk on to show off the outfits and explain Gashicon's concepts. I was dressed as "Angry".

After the show we mingled around the party. Got our pictures taken and talked to people about the brand and stuff. I got to see a lot of friends and fa

miliar faces which was nice!

Tokyo Rebel also spoke at the event and had a table too!

The event was decorated really nicely! And the sweets were so cute! Also Hangry and Angry cookiesss!

Sunday

Saw Laura briefly and got Gogo curry! Then her and Jenni came over and we all watched Treasure Planet with Sandra and Kate! LOL re-watching movies from childhood~

Saturday

After working on Fashion Art homework for a while I met up with Nicole to get some fabric! We headed to Kino for the pre-NYAF event. I got to see a bunch of friends and supported Mario sing.

Won a raffle too and got 2 free badges to NYAF! After went to k-town and tried out this noodle place 3 stories up that turned out to be cheap and tasty!

Crazy Fridayyyy

Yesterday was so yucky at first. The rain was awful to commute in for work.

It got better though when I was visited by Laura! She brought me a yummy Salmon bento and a Green Tea Frap from Zaiya when she got off work there! She also brought me one of her Gloomys as a gift~

I was working with Masayo which was really nice! She even brought me back cookies when she came back from taking care of stuff!

We had a lot of business and sold both outfits that were displayed in the front windows. Since we didn't have an extra of one dress I got to dress up a mannequin for the window.

Laura hung around for awhile and then I was visited by a group of my friends who invited me to go out after work.

After work I headed over to Jenni and Laura's apartment and also got to see Nicole, Mario, and Justin there! Justin and Laura were bleaching their hair while I became a Bear in a pile of Bears.

We played Apples to Apples, blasted Vocaloid and Gaga, drank lots of drinks, and had a fun time! Left with Justin at like 1:30 or so
